About Therapy

Are you curious about what your story is?

Do you want to feel joy, fulfillment, and strength?

When you are feeling anxious or depressed, are you lacking positive coping mechanisms?

Are you scared to start this process?

If you answered any of these questions with a “yes,” you are not alone. I have helped teens, young adults, and adults overcome obstacles in their lives. Some of the people that have come through my door and sat on my couch, or virtual chat, could barely make it here at the beginning, frozen by their thoughts and fears.

Warmth, respect, and listening to everything without judgment have helped many overcome and build a pathway to happiness.

In from the cold…

I have an office, both in-person and virtual, much like my demeanor, warm, safe, and inviting. Whether the comfy chair is at my office or your favorite home spot, you can relax and let your thoughts open up to a session of laughter, challenge, strategy, and tears. Sorry, no virtual tissues.

Anxiety is a seed in all of us. Yes, including me. For years, I struggled with anxiety, and it led me to my career as a therapist. I used humor as a way to cope, so it was this or stand-up comedy.

Laughter truly is the best medicine. I use it in my practice to help you feel at ease, break down barriers, and reduce stress. I don’t use humor to belittle, invalidate or insult. Over the years, clients have reacted well to it. When you can laugh, you can relax. When you can relax, you can heal.

About Me

Speaking of “through the years,” I have a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. I have been a therapist for 25 years. My experience is varied – schools, inpatient, outpatient, etc. I have always known I wanted to help people. Even back as far as middle school, my friends would come to me with their heartaches.

In addition to anxiety, I specialize in eating disorders, depression, and trauma.

When I’m not doing therapy…

In my free time, I like to spend time with family and friends, read a good book, listen to music, and play with my favorite dog Laddie.

Don’t go through life alone.

Let’s take the journey one page at a time.
